Programming Program Overview:

 

Welcome to "The Science of Tomorrow" Programming Course for Teens, who are interested in learning how to create mobile applications using MIT App Inventor, a visual programming platform that allows users to build mobile apps for Android devices without requiring extensive programming knowledge.

Engineering Tracks Teens Programs are intended to add new value and strengthen teens’ capabilities, by which this Programming Course is designed to present the basics of MIT App Inventor, including its interface, touch interface load, user interface pallet, and programming concepts such as conditionals, lists, and iteration. They will also explore various app-building techniques, including drawing and animating games, location-based projects, and artificial intelligence applications.

Over 24 Hours of online interactive classes, participants will progress through two distinct levels:

Level 1 Events-driven Programming.

Level 2 Project Showcase.

Level One (6 Sessions)

 

  • Introduction to App Inventor and its Interface

  • touch Interface Load

  • User interface pallet

 

  • Build drawing and animated games.

  • Pedagogy constructivism, constructionism, and inquiry-based learning

  • Programming conditionals, lists, iteration Design need finding
